i actually think this is waters' wittiest, smartest film. and kathleen turner's performance is so committed, if she gave it these days, she would get oscar buzz.

Indeed. I'm still amazed that I was lukewarm about the film when I saw it in its original release.
Now, however, I realize that ther is something in every scene that just slays me...

I never understand when people don't like this movie. IT's one of his best for me.
