To Dos Day

___ Item 1: HELP StinkyLulu arrange a screening of...
...Casting About, the 2004 documentary with a cast of millions now screening in real cities. This flick promises the convergence of two of StinkyLulu's most favorite topics: actressing & the "invisible" processes of casting. C'mon. Lu's dying over here. When? Where? How? Can I see this flick? Please? I don't even need it to be good! I just need to see it!!!!!!!!!

___ Item 2: SAVE the date...
...for the 2007 Supporting Actress Blogathon: Sunday - January 6, 2008. It's never too early to start keeping track of the year's best actressing at the edges. (No clue what Lu's yammering about? Check out the 2006 Supporting Actress Blogathon.)

___ Item 3: TRACK the scandals and malfeasance...
...of the current administration with Slate's handy cartoon guide.

___ Item 4: PONDER the unlikelihoods...
...of StinkyLulu's Realities. An all-minority final four on Survivor? With an all-black final three? Where's the hubbub? Three black women in the final four of American Idol? The out gays being booted from the gayest of the gay Shear Genius? Will Jaslene's not-deaf-but-deaf accent keep her from winning Next Top Model? And WTF! is Lulu gon' do when all this reality ends? PIRATES? Help?!?!

___ Item 5: SEND OUT for smelling salts...
...or a fire extinguisher. Because the weekend StinkyLulu's attending the Miss New Mexico Pageant in scenic Alamogordo is the same weekend of The Tony Awards. Either StinkyLulu will expire in a swooning faint from all the gayness or just combust in a big poof of flaming faggotry.

___ Item 6: CELEBRATE...
...the end of the semester as the 600+ pages of student writing that -- just last week -- piled atop StinkyLulu's desk has now been evaluated, commented upon, and returned. Furthermore, it's worth noting that the end of this semester also happens to mark the end of StinkyLulu's sentence on the exhausting wheel of fake-ulty adjunctness. Because -- come Fall 2007 -- StinkyLulu will embark on the tenure-track right here in the Land of Enchantment. It's official. We's staying put but we's fully employed. And s'all good. Real good. Woohoo.

Have at it, lovelies...

Congrats, somthing I've said all over the blogosphere today, hm...

Oh right.

Mr. StinkyLulu, if you would grace me affirmation by evaluating your opinions on my Supporting Actress rundown, I would be most humbled and honoured at your blogging greatness on my small and misunderstood weird-ass blog. It would make you so kind and merciful in the eyes of myself and my 1 (maybe 2?) readers. Thanks be to you either way you choose. [bows and takes off big hat]

Casting about looks like it might terrify me as much as it would fascinate. Cinema Village also shows Atarnajuat and Tous Pres des Etoiles, two of the most singular movies I've seen in a long while, and favorites as well. I would check for it on Netflix soon.....

Yay! I feel happy. I tend to underestimate myself and it always looks selfish and conceited. :( But I am anyway, so :P
