1979 - my first oscars
Too bad Joan Cusack is competing against herself for her two nominations. I'd like to hear people's opinions on her performances.
I didn't think 1988 was such an interesting year, excepting figuring out how Geena Davis won. I'm intrigued. And very intrigued by 1970 or 79. If it's 79, then it's a Streepfest back to back
I think I'm revved for any year except '43.
I have a soft spot for '97 as I had seen three of the five nominated performances at the time of the show, which I thought was pretty impressive for an 11-year-old.
1952! How can you not vote for the fabulous Jean Hagen in "Singin' in the Rain"- quite easily the Best Supporting performance of the 50's.
I absolutely agree with James Henry about JEAN HAGEN. She should win the prize for best supporting actress in a musical - EVER! "I can't stand him" & "I could Suuueeeeew" are two of my favorite deliveries of lines in filmdom. OK - I'm gushing - but just the thought of her performance make me laugh out loud.
1997
1997!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
