(And there's no magic behind the number "83"; it's just the number of films I could squeeze onto one side of a single sheet of paper.)

I'm curious why The General and City Lights are on this list. I've seen both of these films multiple times and I've been racking my brain for instances of "acting" in the movie.
think of "role playing" in the broader sense...
Topsy-Turvy has to be one of the single best films about the creative process I've ever seen.
God, what a rich cast, script, and design. Jim Broadbent's performance has to be one of the greatest unsung "biopic" performances (though that label doesn't do the film or performance justice).
