The Persian Boy by Mary Renault. I read it sometime in the late 80s. Loved it. I should read more of her books.
I haven't read any Renault. I think I tried one, but she definitely was the rage in the era. (I did read almost every Gordon Merrick I could get my hands on -- those covers!)
I'm thinking of reading Rechy's Numbers though...
I read many of the Gordon Merrick books. The covers were very enticing.
sadly none, but i'm desperate to read the shattering love story of a priest and a biker in a small montana town
